A Message From the Organisers

The GEO conference and exhibition, previously scheduled for 14 - 17 September in Bahrain, has been postponed until 4 - 7 October 2021.

Covid-19 Update

We support the Bahrain government’s robust preventative measures against the COVID-19 pandemic. This means the exhibition venue, the Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre, will be prioritised for the possible continuance of its current use as a medical and testing facility during September, an eventuality GEO supports and welcomes.

As a result, and with consultation with His Excellency the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, we have agreed to move GEO to October 2021.

Our foremost priority remains to safeguard the health, safety and well-being of all participants. As restart and recovery efforts begin around the world, we’ll be working with our partners and suppliers over the coming months to deliver the most dynamic event in the 26-year history of GEO. We can anticipate fresh opportunities next year, and we look forward to serving you.

We have also consulted with key stakeholders and we believe that this new date provides a great opportunity to position the event at a time of year when the weather allows for us to continue to host field trips and the increased participation of the student faculty. It is also the intention to maintain GEO in the odd years thereafter.
