AAPG Young Professionals Group India organise events for UPES Dehradun Students

AAPG's Young Professional Group, India, organised a two-day workshop for students of the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun, India on “Key Factors in Success in Upstream”:

This talk was held during the AAPG Student Chapter event "Excalibur 2018". The workshop was held on 19-20 April 2018 at the Virtual Reality Centre (VRC) facility at ONGC Dehradun's offices.

The students also got the chance to hear Mr K Vasudevan, GM (Geology) speak on "Key Factors of Success in Upstream" on 20 April 2018 at UPES premises. The talk was attended by 75 students from different disciplines, including Petroleum Engineering. Several Faculty members also attended.

Dr. Uday Bhan, Faculty advisor of UPES, Dehradun, was present and congratulated AAPG YP India efforts for providing the students of UPES with a unique opportunity to experience closely the industry standard practices of Seismic Data Processing, Interpretation, Data Storage facility etc. for upstream business.He said that “We are fortunate to have had someone of your professional expertise and credentials volunteer time from your busy schedule to address the participants and serve as a resourceful person.” The 3-hour talk prommpted an intensive question and answer session, after which mementos were presented to Mr K Vasudevan and myself as India YP AAPG Representative.
