The next deadline to apply for AGI Geoscience & Public Policy Internships is March 15, 2011. AGI’s Government Affairs Program offers summer and semester internship opportunities for geoscience students (undergraduates and Masters students) with an interest in public policy and in how Washington impacts the geoscience community.
The RESESS Internship Program is seeking applications from students from minority populations that are poorly represented in the geosciences (see our home page for our mission).
I was recently contacted by the chair of the AAPG Student Chapter Committee and was alerted that they have a Student Liaison position open on their committee.

Last semester (Spring 2010), I was elected to be the new president of the UNO AAPG student chapter for academic year 2010-11. I would only be the third president of the chapter since it’s re-establishment after Hurricane Katrina.
