The 2016 AAPG Student Chapter competition is now under way – and once again the AAPG Student Chapter Committee will be awarding $1,000 will go to the student chapter with the winning video; $300 for second place; and $100 for third place.

This year we are excited to announce that Tangle Creek Energy Ltd. from Calgary has agreed to sponsor the prizes for the video competition.

Participation is easy: Simply have your chapter create a video and upload it to YouTube. Then send the link to at AAPG, including your chapter’s name and a contact person’s name and email.

Entry Rules:

• Videos should highlight your chapter and activities.
• Videos should not be longer than three minutes.
• Only one video entry per AAPG student chapter.

Each member of the AAPG Student Chapter Committee will be allowed to vote – plus, one at-large vote will be determined by "popular vote" as decided by the number of views and/or likes of the video on YouTube.

Awards will be presented at the Student Chapter Reception at the AAPG Annual Convention and Exhibition in Calgary, Canada, on Monday, 20 June from 6-8 p.m.
