Publications

As the premier publisher in petroleum geoscience, AAPG produces materials in several formats to meet the needs of the professional geoscientist. Members and non-members alike are encouraged to submit papers to be considered for publication. Among AAPG's publications are:

Bulletin

A technical journal, recognized in the industry as the leading peer-reviewed publication for information on geoscience and the associated technology of the energy industry, that is received monthly in print or online by all members.

Explorer

A popular monthly newspaper, covering the entire span of energy interests, with emphasis on exploration and development, which is distributed to each AAPG member as well as government officials and media.

Books, Maps and more

More than 100 peer-reviewed publications are offered at a discount to Association members. Consistently praised by reviewers, these monographs, maps and charts present the most current geoscience information available.

Online Publications - AAPG also publishes the complete Bulletin online for members and subscribers. Members can elect to receive an electronic subscription that often allows them access to monthly articles earlier than if they waited on a print subscription to be mailed. Also, members have free, single-user access to the complete online search-and-retrieval archives of the AAPG Bulletin (beginning with volume 1 in 1917) through the current issue.

Online Bookstore - The AAPG Bookstore features all publications of AAPG as well as select publications from other earth science publishers and also is the point-of-sale for our new online Interactive Training modules. Access the Bookstore online 24/7 or call during business hours: USA & Canada +1 800 364 2274; or other locations: +1 918 584 2555.
